Hikari Fukuchi

Born in 1993, in Tokyo.

While conducting research on administrative and regional issues at the university using quantitative and qualitative surveys, Hikari joined a student theater company. Interested in public theaters that link her field of research and theater, she joined the Theater Creation Academy at ZA-KOENJI while still a university student. Actively involved in managing theater-sponsored community events and workshops for children, she deepened her thoughts on how the community and the theater could work together through practical experience.

After completing the academy, Hikari worked at Kokokita, the cultural and artistic activity base of Tokyo's Kita Ward, where she was in charge of projects such as supporting the activities of ward residents and artists.

In July 2019, Hikari joined YCAM. While coordinating YCAM original projects, she is gaining new experience, such as liaison with domestic and international artists and assisting in producing new works.
