Taeji Sawai (Japan)¡¡Sound Artist

The 'sound' of our multi-functional daily existence is supported by various information systems. By dividing the generally recognized sound of the 'perceptible sound wave by hearing' and 'perceptible vibration through sense of touch', he is exploring the possibilities of Auditory Design. Through amplifying, developing, constructing and mixing the unconsciously experienced daily environment. He works to expand our perception and organs of perception in his Solo project. and He belongs to an unit, portable[k]ommunity which works on projects under sensitive yet violent aesthetics with the use of bugs or effects like bugs produced by a large amount of Data with high quality.
Moreover, as a member of an unit called aeo whose other members are EYE(Boredoms/V¡çredoms) and Kazuhiro Jo(SWQ), he seeks a way to break the contradictory relation of restrictions and freedom in computing by changing primitive body movements to acoustic sounds which is triggered by Sensors and the EYE¡Çs perception and more body movements.
