YCAM InterLab Camp vol.3 PERSONAL BIOTECHNOLOGY

A New Approach to Learning
in the Age of Personal Biotechnology

YCAM InterLab Camp is an intensive workshop series in which YCAM invites leading researchers and artists to learn about technologies expected to be used in art in the future together with participants from Japan and abroad. The topic of this workshop, the third in the series, was “Personal Biotechnology”; it focused on familiar biotechnologies based on the results of R&D project “YCAM Bio Research”, which has been ongoing since 2015. During the three-day workshop, participants took lectures and participated in workshops to learn about the processes of reading and writing biological information, the discussions of bioethics related to the field, as well as their potential applications.
